Born in The Bronx New York, Dj 4our 5ive found his first love of Hip Hop. 4our 5ive moved to Brentwood Long Island where he attended Brentwood High School with the rap duo EPMD.

 

He collaborated with the group to lay scratches on their debut album Strictly Business, released in 1988. 4our 5ive later went on to what was his first 40 city tour, Run’s House headlined by the legendary RUN DMC & Jam Master Jay.

 

Since then he has worked with artist such as Craig Mack, Notorious B.I.G, Diddy, Ma$e, Charli Baltimore, Jim Jones, Cam’ron, JoJo, Lil Cease, Lil Kim, Fabolous, Jay-Z, Young Jeezy & Lil Wayne.

How do you help students reach their musical goals?

Concepts, techniques, theory, hand eye coordination, muscle memory and inspiration.

What made you want to become a teacher?

In addition to work opportunities, I wanted to share the knowledge, musical experience and enjoyment of playing my instrument and music in general with others.
